Graphite materials are usually produced by using carbonaceous materials such as petroleum coke, pitch coke, and needle coke. These materials are subjected to high-temperature treatment and graphitization processes. Through precise control of temperature and pressure, the carbon atoms are arranged in a layered structure similar to natural graphite. 
 
Properties 
1. Physical properties: 
Good processability: The texture is relatively uniform and it is easy to be machined. It can be processed into products of various shapes and sizes according to different application needs to meet the usage requirements of different industries. Good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity: Like natural graphite, artificial graphite is also a good conductor of heat and electricity and can play a role in scenarios requiring electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. However, under the same purity and particle size, its electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity are weaker than those of natural flake graphite. Higher density and hardness: After processes such as high-temperature treatment and pressing, the density and hardness of artificial graphite are relatively higher than those of natural graphite, which gives it an advantage in occasions where material strength and wear resistance are required, such as being used as wear-resistant parts in the mechanical industry. 
2. Chemical properties: 
Good chemical stability: At room temperature, except for strong oxidizing acids (such as nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, chromic acid, aqua regia, halogens, etc.), artificial graphite is very stable in most chemical media and can be used as anticorrosive structural materials to replace black or non-ferrous metal materials, especially stainless steel. Strong oxidation resistance: Under high temperature and other conditions, artificial graphite has better oxidation resistance than natural graphite and can maintain good stability in an oxidizing atmosphere, which gives it an advantage in applications in high-temperature environments such as metallurgy.
